Marcus was born into a Christian home and made a profession of faith at the age of 8. He knew of his need for salvation and Jesus as the only remedy for sin. After his freshman year of college, he surrendered to the call of ministry. He began to serve in his local church, the Army National Guard, and in collegiate ministry. While at college, he met Annie, and they started dating. They later got married and began working in student ministry. God moved them to Memphis, TN for seminary and ministry work. They also welcomed their first child, Abram. After a few years, they moved to Eastern Arkansas and began to pastor. While in the Delta, they had their second child, Annabelle. They then accepted God’s call and moved to Star City, AR, and had their third child, Andrew. Marcus has served in full-time ministry since 2005. Eleven of those years have been as a Lead Pastor. He has earned three degrees to equip him for ministry and served in a variety of ministry environments to gain pastoral experience. His greatest accomplishments in life are: his profession of faith in the Lord Jesus, marrying Annie, and raising three outstanding children. If you want to know how to get on his good side bring up the topics of strong coffee, good barbeque, college football (obviously Arkansas Razorbacks), and hunting whitetail deer. The Rogers family loves to spend time with family and friends, particularly their church family. You can catch them playing sports, watching movies, competing with each other in board games, and simply relaxing together. The Rogers family is excited about their next step for family and ministry. They believe the best days of serving the Lord lie ahead.
